Saying Full Name can bring a great conversation. Ensure you give your full name so that the person can recollect your name. It will be easy to keep your name in their mind.

A brief of yourself that what you do or why you are here. In case you're at an important event or meeting, then it's presumable that you'll be discussing what you do to an assortment of individuals. Anyway, what do you say when another association asks, "Would it be that you do?" Do you dispatch into a ten-minute anecdote about your profession way? Do you reel off a rundown of your achievements in your field? By no means. Unless you're having a more extensive discussion, you ought to be set up to give a one-sentence portrayal of what you do that gives the accompanying information:
Who are you, professionally? Is it accurate to say that you are an instructor, a venture supervisor, or a human services proficient? Who do you work with? What do you do?
Presently, set up your sentence together. State your identity, who you work with, and what you do.

Regard individuals' space. On the off chance that you have things, don't put them on scout's or moderator's tables. Regard their space and don't overpower them. You can likewise upset their materials, for example, thumping over a blurb or fouling up flyers. Hold up to be made a request to trade business cards, resumes, and so on.

Catch up with a question. On the off chance that the individual has asked you what you do in the first place, don't simply leave and acclaim yourself for a profession well done. Rather, ask the individual what he or she does consequently. This is neighborly, as well as demonstrates that you have a genuine enthusiasm for this present individual's profession way and need to manufacture a significant association.

Say farewell like an expert. Don't simply wave and say, "Pleasant meeting you" and leave the individual. Anybody, you meet at an important meeting or event can possibly help you, later on, so ensure that you look, rehash the individual's name, and trade business cards or whatever other bits of important data before you leave.

I tried it once but it didn’t go well. It was so stressful for me and I didn’t manage it well. Obviously, I didn't have enough knowledge back then. I need to be more confidence while I am presenting myself. When I introduced myself to people suddenly I froze. I didn’t know how to continue. I forgot to give a brief of my history either I didn’t come up with any questions.

1. What makes a great first introduction? (Name at least 4 elements)

Four elements of a great first introduction as below:

(1)Your job title in the company
To mention your job title will be immediately identify what you are in, the person who speaks with you can know what level of education and profession you are, and show your image to talker.
For example:
I am a cardiologist in McGill Hospital that you can know the person has high education background and a heart expert.
I am salesman in clothes shop that you will think the person maybe has a secondary education or college background and work in sales field.
So, to mention your job title in the company is effective way to start the introduction to build your image.

(2) What company you serve and what you do for the company

To indicate your company will let the person who speaks with you to know what industry you serve and give a brief expression for what you do that will have a very clear view to talker.
For example:
I serve a finance company for gathering the data from the clients and analyze the clients’ data to provide suggestions to the credit department for client loan or not.

(3) To indicate your job mission with your motivation
Job mission maybe is similar with other relative positions, but if indicating your job mission with what motivation you have, it is very different from others. Because different people work in a job has different attitude and behaviors, someone perhaps does not has motivation for job, just working. If express your job mission with your motivation, that will give a different impression to talker.

(4) Asking a question to the person you are talking
Interactive communication will make the first introduction successful due to the talker participate the interflow and make the first introduction go in the next communication step and give a first deeper impression. Also asking a question to talker, you can know about the person you speak with.

A great first Introduction Empty Task 3

Post by Jasmine Sayegh Thu May 25, 2017 6:12 pm

a)I did not get to deliver my first introduction as planned. I felt too shy to go up to anyone at my first event.

b) At the Fairmont career day event, I did in fact deliver an introduction but it was not the same I had planned at all. It was more of an informal conversation therefore I didn’t need to sell myself to the person. I didn’t need to tell the person what I could do for a company or how I am seen in the office. I just greeted the person, then asked what job he was applying for. I then told him that I was an intern and I was currently studying at TAV college in Internet Marketing. We then continued the conversation.

A great first Introduction Empty A great first introduction - Priscillia Ntongone

a) If so, how did you do it?

my introduction was not clear enough when I met with one of Wink Strategies employee about an internship. Instead of focusing on digital marketing, I told him I was a sales analyst on maternity leave and I was also doing some consulting with entrepreneurs. It was quite confusing so next time I know I have to focus on one activity only and stick to it.

b) If you had to readjust, say how and why.
Because he was a digital marketing professional, I would have said I am a consultant I help entrepreneurs specialized in cosmetics acquire and retain customers by designing and implementing creating digital marketing strategies.
It is clear, no need to tell about my past company because my job was very different from what I am doing now and what I want to do in the future.
