Sara Bashi Profile

Pros: good profile with quite impressive marketing experience.
I like the picture, it catches the eyes.
Sarah included media like company websites she worked for
She added certifications
She has very good recommendations which shows that she is a reliable professional
Her professional experiences are very detailed
Her Linkedin URL includes her name

Cons:
- The headline is not catchy enough, it is vague and just mention a field
- The summary is not personalized enough, it should be written like a sales pitch to the recruiter
- The job descriptions are too long and do not include clear achievements: keep the 5 most relevant missions

Recommendations:
- Professional headline: clearly identify the job you are looking and your specialization for example, write “Digital marketing professional specialized in fashion and beauty industry”.
- Summary:
1- start with your value proposition because this will appear first to an interviewer before he/she access to the full version of your profile. The value proposition should be : I help businesses to xxxx (what you can do for them)  so that they can xxxx (desired results) so that the recruiter knows right away how you can help the company.
2- Then talk about your expertise including keywords related to your industry to position yourself as an expert.
3- Finish with a call to action: example Contact me to learn how I can help you with your digital marketing strategy.
- Write accomplishments oriented job missions

Mina Mirzamohammad profile:

Pros:
The job title clearly says which job you are looking for
The summary talks about her formal experience and future projects and has some personal information which makes it more human
The job descriptions include short and clear statements

Cons:
The summary looks more like a biography than a sell pitch
I would expect more technical jargons and developer languages to show the expertise
There is no written recommendation
The job description don’t include achievements backed with numbers
There is no details about the companies she worked for (what do they specialize in?)

Recommendations:
- Write your summary like a sales pitch starting with your value proposition: example I help businesses to build beautiful, responsive and user-friendly websites using HTML, CSS and Javascript. Then detail your newly acquired digital marketing experience to make the recruiter aware that you have a global understanding of digital marketing best practices and that you can use this knowledge to create outstanding websites with unique user experience.
- Write accomplishments-oriented job missions, example: “Generated 100% increase in payment transactions by developing Commissary, a new tool that enables customers to pay in one-click.”
- Ask for written recommendations

Mahdi Yazdi Profile

Very good profile with the right information to catch a recruiter interest

Pros:
- The job title clearly says your expertise but maybe it is better to say “Digital marketing Consultant” as “digital” brings more traffic than “online”.
- The summary starts with a unique value proposition and clearly mentions your areas of expertise and what makes you unique
- You have industry related experience which adds credibility to the profile
- The skills are all listed and you have many recommendations from peers
- Your job descriptions include achievements with numbers which make them more impactful

Cons:
- The first sentence of your summary relates to your overall experience and not your latest in digital marketing
- The job description related to your experience with Aria Consulting is too long
- You don’t have written recommendations from peers

Recommendations:
- Start your summary with a unique value proposition related to digital marketing consultancy including keywords related to your industry example: I help businesses to implement impactful SEO, social media and online advertising tactics so that they can generate more sales.
- Write you experience with Aria Consulting the same way you did with others. If you want to talk about specific projects, create a case study in PDF format and include the PDF as a media so that recruiters interested to learn more can read about it.
- Detail what you learnt at TAV about digital marketing

Task 3
Sara
In addition to Priscillia comments, I would like to add
- For Sara’s profile- I found that it is very good that  she has endorsements for her skills
- She is following groups in the marketing domain which supports her interests and knowledge- marketing’s groups
- She is very active on LinkedIn- likes and shares posts
-
Improvements:

- For recommendations- it is better to have from teachers from the college
- To put as portfolio some of the project she is currently working on during her freelancer experience and college student

Mina
In addition to Priscillia comments, I would like to add that the groups she is following shows interests in digital marketing and programming, which also supports her resume
Improvements:
- To be more active – to share, like posts, to write comments
- To ask for recommendations
- To put more details about the program at TAV College- courses

Priscillia
The headline shows only her current position without her other interests, but the summary supports her interests and professional background without any personal information.
The work experience is very detailed and well organized, the educational background is also supports her professional background.
Her picture is catchy- she looks professional and with great attitude to people.
It is very important that she put her volunteer experience in additional section.
Improvements ideas:
- It is better to ask for recommendations, to add certificates
- to get more endorsements
- to add achievements
- to add more information about the program at TAV College.

Here are my recommendations in order to improve LinkedIn profile for:

Assya:
-    The first important part in LinkedIn profile is a summary. In fact, one of the crucial parts of the LinkedIn profile that people pay attention to is a summary part. You can summarize your background besides of you headline. You would be more professional if you add your goal and mission in this part. Add some unique value proposition and some keywords in your summary
-    You have to add your skills related to the digital marketing field such as web development, SEO, SEM and data analysis which you have mentioned are the required skill for the position that you are looking for and mentioned it in your title.
-     After adding your skills at the button of the page, it is good to have some endorsement for someone who knows you that you are good at that field.
On the other hand, you can improve your profile by using some effective keywords related to that field that you are interested in working with. So employers who are looking for people (for example as a SEM specialist) could easily find you.

Mehdi:
•    Try to improve your summary part with explaining
-     Your goal or mission
-    Summarize your skills by some bulletins. It is more clear and readable. By this way, you can organize your skills for example instead of
“Expert in Business Development, International trading, B2B and B2C sales, Branding, Marketing Communication, E-Commerce, Digital Marketing, Product development areas.”
You can bring following:
•    Branding
•    Marketing Communication
•    E-commerce
•    Digital Marketing

You can explain more detail about those in your experience part of your profile.

-    explain your personal characteristic such as self- motivated, hard worker and so on in your summary
-    It is good to have some recommendations in your profile.
-    There is no detail about what you have learned in digital marketing field at TAV college

Qianyin Luo
-    Add your photo because the photo on the LinkedIn profile is like a personal logo and brings you credibility. The profile without photo seems to be an inactive profile. People can recognize and remember you by looking at your photo. Also, people who follow you in other social media can find you in LinkedIn easily by looking at your photo.
-    There is no title in your profile. You have to add your current position or a job title that you are looking for
-    Add a proper summary beside your title (your mission, summary of your skills, who you are(professional and personal description))
-    Try to use more keywords related to digital marketing field that you have learned in TAV college in features skills part

Task 3

Mina

She wrote very well in Profile about her skill and she separate everything in this part.
She has a good and professional picture
She has some enough connections but these connections are not related to her new job. It can be better.
she can post more comment about her expert
she can remove one of the education o nTAV colleges. It seems, weird.
She did not mention about language
She wrote the wrong word: Batchelor!
She can add some Featured Skills & Endorsements about digital marketing.
She does not follow some interesting group or company in the field of digital marketing
She does not have recommendation

Assya
She has a good picture
She has enough recommendation which is great
She is recently active and posts some relevant comments.
She does not have any profile and summary
She has weak connections
She can add some Featured Skills & Endorsements about digital marketing.

Mahdi
He does not have a good picture on the background
He has a good experience and explains very well. But he does not write anything about the current job.
He has a summary on profile. But he did not explain very well his passion it is more technical
He did not use any bullet for experiences.
He has not many activities on LinkedIn
He can add some Featured Skills & Endorsements about digital marketing.
He did not add any interest following like company or group.
He does not have any recommendation

Task#3

After reviewing My classmates` LinkedIn Profile I mention several things:

Jasmine:

Although you don't have that much experience, but it is great the you put all of them on your linkedIn, you have a lot of room to go through details of your current and past jobs. complete them with media if available. Also the summary is a great key to expand all your skills and abilities and use keywords to be searchable. your job title is a little bit confusing (Fairmont The Queen Elizabeth Tav College ), it has to be explained. You need a professional photo for your profile not a Cropped one , you can also use Photofeeler tool to Find out what your photos are really saying about you and Choose the right ones.

Mina

you need to go through details of your skills in your summary, use more keywords and develop your network connections by searching people and companies and follow them. Also about your past experience add more responsibilities and use number for your achievements . you have two TAV college in your education, Delete one. You can add up to 50 skills on LinkedIn so use all of them.try to endorse your previous colleague skills so they give it back to you. Use Media such as Picture, video, pdf and presentation.

Masoud

you have awesome profile and summary, you used media in your profile which is very good, try to mention your pas t experience responsibilities. you also can use add more skills. Try to change your profile photo and add one without filters.

Task 3

Sara Ghafelehbashi
  • It’s better to delete your education from the summary
It is not a good idea to mention that you are looking for a job
It would be great to give them your Unique Value Proposition which can show your ability
    Using better Keywords

Mina Mirzamohammad
  • Being more specific about Keywords.
It’s good to submit your portfolio
Try to get some recommendation at least 3
Try to get more connections at least 500

Mahdi Yazdi
  • Poor summary, it has to show your skills
There are no recommendations, try to get at least 3
There are no keywords on LinkedIn profile
