Yearly objectives:
1. Learn French
2. Learn new knowledge and skills of digital marketing
3. Find a job

How to accomplish my yearly objectives:
1. Learn French
a) To take a French course at the weekend to learn French grammar
b) To listen French radio and watch French movie and television program
c) To participate community’s activities to practise French.

2. Learn new knowledge and skills of digital marketing
a) To read some digital marketing books to learn the digital knowledge
b) To register some accounts of social media platform for practising the internet marketing skills with the tool books
c) To take an internet marketing program for mastering the practical skills
d) To join some marketing groups to learn current knowledge and trend of marketing

3. Find a job
a) To learn how to prepare resume and cover letter
b) To register some accounts of job webpages to post the resume
c) To apply for jobs that I am interested in or matching my working experiences
d) To develop my social network to find opportunities of recommended job

Task 3
a) List 3 yearly objectives and mention how you will accomplish them

1. Get Certified for Google Analytics and AdWords.
I have to create account with Google Partners and I can take the exams with them.
First I have to follow their online courses in order to learn in details the different tools options. Covering that certificates will give me more confidence and will be a proof for companies that I have the knowledge and I am able to work with that tools. Some of the companies ask for the certificates as it is time consuming to cover the material and to take the exam after that. So they prefer people who already have that and I think that this could help me to find faster good job.
2. Improve speaking and written French.
I have to improve both written and speaking. I have to find courses during the weekends or evening courses. I have to read more professional books in French and to follow people on social media who are francophone. I have to use some online tools to learn the grammar and to make exercises. I have to use French language in my daily routine activities.
3. Find a job
I have to continue to grow my network in Montreal in order to know more people in different companies. I have to attend more community events in order to become part of community. This will allow me to find new friends or mentors and will be able to ask them to introduce me to potential companies. After finishing with the program and the internship I plan to update my resume with the projects I’ve worked on in order to have Canadian experience and real project working in the internet marketing domain. Adding to that the certificates and improving my communications in French and English should help me to find my first job in the digital marketing domain.

Task 3

1- Get Google Analytics and Google AdWords certification
I need to refer myself as certified so, I have to pass the certification exams. I have to prepare for AdWords Fundamentals exam. So, I have to study it online. I have to sign up for Partners, I will get access to our free AdWords certification exams and related study materials.
After that, I have to pass the Google AdWords Fundamentals exam with a score of 80%
Next step is passing one of the five other Google AdWords exams with high than 80%
I should pass more than 2 exams to be a partner of Google I choose to display advertising and search advertising because I already familiar with that.

2- Try to translate and publish a book about digital marketing English to Persian
As I before lived in Iran and I worked in university as a teacher and I have a Ph.D. degree in marketing. For being updated I should translate a book that related to my job. I did 1 time when I was in my country. But right now I do not want to lose my reputation and I want to introduce myself as a digital marketer. So, one of my teachers consulted me I can translate 2 books. I want to choose one of them and start for doing during next 6 months.

3- Find a part time job. It can be great doing at home.
As I am going to be a mom. I cannot work right now out of the home. So, I want to find a company that can give me a project to do at home. I already find 2 virtual company that can help me. So, I have to start to communicate with them and make deal with them. Therefore, I need to prepare a good cover letter and cv to send these companies and meet them.
Additionally, I need to improve my communicating in Montreal. So, I want to participate in some event that relevant to my career.

4- Improve speaking English and starting to enhance my French writing.
For being professional in Quebec I have to improve at least my French writing. SO, I want to register in class for improving it also, As English is not my first language I have to enhance it. So, for having a better accent I need to listen to music, film and talk with native English language. I want to participate community’s activities to practice English.
SO, I registered for some events that relevant to my career and I will communicate with people in there.

5- To be a good mom for my little sweet face. He will be coming this year!

2-a

When I decided to be involved in a digital marketing field, I was aware of required involvement in a long-term process.
1.    I have to make myself up-to-date in digital marketing science. Because the digital marketing tools always change and upgrade so the digital marketing expert needs to adapt themselves and be flexible.
For example SEO algorithm change and modify several times a year, so I have to do the research to find those new algorithms or the modification of exciting algorithm and apply the new ones in my SEO strategy. Therefore by awarding and applying the new SEO algorithm into the website. My project could be always optimized and successful.

2.    It is a good idea to increase your network connection with the people who are expert in some fields of digital marketing which are your weakness. For example, I personally focus on web development and SEO strategy but I always try to surround myself with people who are expert in content writing. Because I believe that launching a professional complete digital marketing project needs to have a great team work in the way that each person is specialized in one or 2 particular abilities. So I grow my network connection with those people and always keep in touch with them.

3.  Being more professional in the web development field and SEO could be useful for me because I could handle the projects (which I involve) in a very professional way. So I am going to be certified in search engine optimization this year and I am involved in some projects as a front-end developer, so I could learn more by trying to find some solution for the issues that may happen in each project.

Below are my 3 main objectives for this year:

1. Improve my writing skills in English and French

One of the skills that needs to be improved in Digital marketing to raise the engagement and impression is writing, it helps you to create contents on the web and social media to raise traffic and leads to sales, My objective is to attend several physical and online courses to improve my writing both in English and French


2. Get a certificate in SEO, Google analytics, Goole AdWords, Email marketing and web development
i already started Google AdWords in Google Academy, after this I will take Google Analytics again in Google Academy, this tools helps the digital marketers

3. Find a job in Digital Marketing field

My strategy to find a job is first I look for Digital marketing, Social media analyst, SEO and SEM specialist internship on job seekers platforms like Indeed, MonsterJobs and LinkedIn and apply for it, the next step is to find all the marketing agencies in Montreal and take their Phone number , ask their HR manager if they accept internship then I send them my CV and wait for reply.

Become an expert in data marketing: I will attend online courses about data marketing, connect with a friend of mine who is a data scientist to explain me the technical part and apply all the techniques learnt during my internship and projects I will work on.

Teach the fundamentals of digital marketing to french entrepreneurs all over the world: I will create a blog in which I will post 2 articles per week, I will create videos that I will publish on Youtube, I will do live webinars on Facebook and i will create a private Facebook group

Find a job in an e-commerce company whose target market are entrepreneurs and small businesses: I will work as a consultant for entrepreneurs to get a better understanding of their needs, I will improve my techniques in digital marketing, meet with one of the company current employees and try to get a referral to apply through him or her
